I did 6.2 miles on the elliptical in 35 minutes.

Today I finished 'Miles From Nowhere' and started 'Don't Knock the Rock' from 1956, with lots of great rock 'n' roll acts & music from the '50s.

I did 6.5 miles in 35 minutes on the elliptical today in intervals:

Today I finished 'Don't Knock the Rock' from 1956; I did 6.4 miles in 35 minutes on the elliptical, and I think my workout was easier than dancing in the 1950s!

Thursday 11/11/21: 4.43 Miles

Day 4 workout session is done and only one day to go!  Today's Workout: 4.43 miles on the elliptical in 22:11 minutes; the first 13:35 minutes were doing intervals at resistance level 10 and the rest of the time was a brisk pace at resistance level 9. 10 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer ; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace. Today's movie segment included the songs 'Barefoot Ballad' and 'Once is Enough'!  Fourth day of watching 'Kissin' Cousins' from 1964, starring Elvis Presley, Arthur O'Connell, Jack Albertson, and Pamela Austin. IMDb Movie Outline: An Army officer returns to the Smoky Mountains and tries to convince his kinfolk to allow the Army to build a missile site on their land. 2022 Totals: 1,002 Miles

January - December 2022: 1,002.62 miles in 84 hours, 44 minutes (3 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes) The miles are equivalent to a little over 38 marathons, averaging 3 marathons a month! Exercised 203 days out of 365 (157 days elliptical; 70 days kettlebell) Some days I did both elliptical and kettlebell, and some days I did one and not the other. Watched 52 movies, 3 documentaries, and 3 TV shows (listed chronologically on my Miles of Movies 2022 IMDb list ; see full list alphabetized in blog sidebar) 2.62 miles over year goal of 1,000 miles! It's been a good year, the first full year on the elliptical! My husband had to make some adjustments to the machine this year, tightening screws due to use and lubricating when it got squeaky, but other than that is has held up great and hasn't been turned into a clothes rack! I took time off this year, all of August due to extreme heat and Covid illness, and then another few weeks off between October and November; my year goal of 1,000 miles...

Thursday 1/20/22: 4.33 Miles

Day 4 workout is done and so is the workout week! Today's Afternoon Workout: 4.33 miles on the elliptical in 21:58 minutes. Eight-minute warmup at resistance level 8, then one interval segment at resistance level 7 for 13:30 minutes, and the rest of the time was at resistance level 8. 10 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer ; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace.  Fourth and final day of watching ' This Is Elvis ' from 1981, with archival footage of Elvis Presley! Today's movie segment included a final performance of 'My Way' six weeks before Elvis's death along with a montage! Sunday 08/08/21: 6.3 Miles

Tonight I started watching 'Jamboree!' from 1957 for my first night of elliptical workouts this week. No intervals tonight; I did 6.3 miles in 40 minutes at medium high resistance (between levels 10 and 13) and at a steady pace between 9 and 11mph.  IMDb Movie Outline: Pete Porter and Honey Wynn become overnight sensations as a romantic singing duo. But what will become of their budding love affair when their feuding, back-stabbing managers persuade them to go solo?
