Tonight I started watching 'Speedway' from 1968 with Elvis Presley, Bill Bixby, and Nancy Sinatra.

I did 7 miles on the elliptical in 40 minutes; medium high resistance the whole time, no intervals but a good push the last 10 minutes to get in two miles to finish at 7 miles.

Tonight was night 2 of the Elvis flick 'Speedway'.

I did 7.2 miles on the elliptical in 40 minutes at medium high resistance and steady pace (between 10 and 11mph).

Wednesday: 7/14/21 

Tonight I finished 'Speedway' and started another Elvis movie 'Live a Little, Love a Little', also directed by Norman Taurog and also from 1968.

I did 7.6 miles on the elliptical in 40 minutes with intervals:

Thursday: 7/15/21

Tonight was night 2 of the 1968 Elvis movie 'Live a Little, Love a Little'.

My workout ended on a high note with the song 'Little Less Conversation' which was re-released in 2002 in a remixed version by Dutch musician Tom Holkenborg, better known as Junkie XL, which is far superior to the movie version, but the movie version is still enjoyable:

I did 7.6 miles on the elliptical in 40 minutes with intervals:

- 5 minutes: medium high resistance at warm-up pace
- 5 minutes: low resistance at faster pace
- 5 minutes: medium high resistance at slower pace
- 5 minutes: low resistance at faster pace

Done with day 3 of working out this week!  Today's Workout: 2.8 miles on the elliptical in 17:28 minutes; the first 13:35 minutes were doing intervals and the rest of the time was a steady pace; the segment I watched today included Astrud Gilberto and Stan Getz performing The Girl from Ipanema. 10 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer ; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace. Resistance Level 13 (medium high). Day 3 of watching 'Get Yourself a College Girl' from 1964, a rock-n-roll themed musical with popular acts from the day, including Dave Clark Five and The Animals; starring Mary Ann Mobley, Joan O'Brien, Nancy Sinatra, and Chad Everett. Second day of watching 'Heavenly Bodies' from 1984, starring Cynthia Dale IMDb Movie Outline: A small "Dance-ercize" studio fights for its existence against the unscrupulous owner of a rival club. Through with Day 2 of working out! Today's Workout: 3.46 miles on the elliptical in 20:22 minutes; the first 13:35 minutes were doing intervals and the rest of the time was a steady pace while getting through more of the movie so I can finish it on Friday; today's movie segment included the song 'Ain't We Got Fun'. 10 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer ; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace. Resistance Level 12 (medium high). Day 2 of watching 'By the Light of the Silvery Moon' from 1953, starring Doris Day and Gordon MacRae.  IMDb Movie Outline: Marjorie Winfield's engagement to Bill Sherman, who has just arrived home from fighting in World War I, serves as the backdrop for the trials and tribulations of her family.
