Week 5/10/21 - 5/14/21: 20.2 Miles

- Completed two 1950s comedies (The Mating Game & The Iron Petticoat)

- Did 160 push-ups & squats (Monday - Friday)

- Walked 20.2 miles in 3hrs 20min (Monday - Friday)

My DVR is full of movies & TV shows I've put off watching, so this is a list of what I've watched while spending time on my new treadmill! I'm curious to see how many movies I'll get through in 2021. Tuesday 11/02/21: 3.98 Miles

Done with Day 2 of working out with Elvis!  Today's Workout: 3.98 miles on the elliptical in 20:22 minutes; the first 13:35 minutes were doing intervals at resistance level 10 and the rest of the time was a brisk pace at resistance level 11. 10 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer ; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace. Today's movie segment included the songs 'This is Living' and 'Riding the Rainbow'! Second day of watching 'Kid Galahad' from 1962, starring Elvis Presley, Gig Young, and Charles Bronson. IMDb Movie Outline: After completing his military service, Walter Gulick takes a job as a sparring partner at a gym, the owner of which sees potential in Walter as a professional fighter and takes him under his wing. Thursday 1/13/22: 7.03 Miles

My 3-day workout week is over and Elvis has left the building! Today's Afternoon Workout: 7.03 miles on the elliptical in 32:14 minutes. One-minute warmup at resistance level 9, then two interval segments at resistance level 8 followed by level 7 for 13:30 minutes each, and the rest of the time was at resistance level 7. 20 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer ; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace.  Third and final day of watching ' Elvis on Tour ' from 1972, with the one and only Elvis Presley! Today's movie segment was just like the other days with lots of screaming fans and music, including the songs 'I Got a Woman', his concert closer 'Can't Help Falling in Love', and 'Memories' during the end credits! Friday 6/3/22: 8.87 Miles

Done with the two-day workout week and the tropical paradise of Pagan Love Song was perfect for a rainy day! Today's Afternoon Workout: 8.87 miles on the elliptical in 38:31 minutes. No intervals; entire time at resistance level 6. Extra: Morning kettlebell , 40 swings x 2 sets = 80 swings (8kg/17lb).  Second and final day of watching ' Pagan Love Song ' from 1950, starring Esther Williams, Howard Keel, and Minna Gombell.  Today's segment included a musical dream segment with Esther Williams performing in the water! IMDb Movie Outline : A man from Ohio inherits a coconut plantation and falls in love with a half-American, half-Tahitian beauty. Song-and-swim musical ensues in the tropical paradise. #21 on my Miles of Movies 2022 list !
