Saturday 7/30/22: 6.5 Miles

Done with the last elliptical workout of July and the final '60s beach flick of the month, Beach Blanket Bingo!

Today's Evening Workout:

  • 6.5 miles on the elliptical in 31:58 minutes.
    • No intervals; entire time at resistance level 5
  • Third and final day of watching 'Beach Blanket Bingo' from 1965, starring Frankie Avalon, Annette Funicello, and Deborah Walley.

It feels great to be done with another week of working out and another movie I had never seen before!  Today's Workout: 2.62 miles on the elliptical in 15:10 minutes; the first 13:35 minutes were doing intervals at resistance level 13 and the rest of the time was a steady pace at resistance level 14; the soundtrack was definitely the best part of the movie, along with aerobics/dance and a happy ending it made for a great movie while working out this week!  10 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer ; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace. Fifth and final day of watching 'Heavenly Bodies' from 1984, starring Cynthia Dale. IMDb Movie Outline: A small "Dance-ercize" studio fights for its existence against the unscrupulous owner of a rival club. The conflict boils down to a "Dance Marathon" to settle the score. Tuesday 10/26/21: 3.71 Miles

Done with Day 2 of working out this week and reading subtitles makes the time go by fast!    Today's Workout: 3.71 miles on the elliptical in 19:16 minutes; the first 13:35 minutes were intervals at resistance level 10 and the rest of the time was a brisk pace at resistance level 11; today's movie segment started 19 minutes in and included the introduction of the Roland Cassard character played by Marc Michel (no subtitles in clip). 10 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer ; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace. Second day of watching 'The Umbrellas of Cherbourg' (Les parapluies de Cherbourg) from 1964, starring Catherine Deneuve, Nino Castelnuovo, and Anne Vernon.  IMDb Movie Outline: A young woman separated from her lover by war faces a life-altering decision. Done with Day 2 of working out with Elvis!  Today's Workout: 3.98 miles on the elliptical in 20:22 minutes; the first 13:35 minutes were doing intervals at resistance level 10 and the rest of the time was a brisk pace at resistance level 11. 10 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer ; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace. Today's movie segment included the songs 'This is Living' and 'Riding the Rainbow'! Second day of watching 'Kid Galahad' from 1962, starring Elvis Presley, Gig Young, and Charles Bronson.
