Monday 7/18/22: 7.59 Miles

Done with Day 1 of this week's elliptical workouts, the third week of July at the beach; this week takes me to 'Bikini Beach' from 1964 with Frankie and Annette!

Today's Afternoon Workout:

  • 7.59 miles on the elliptical in 33:06 minutes.
    • 1-minute warmup at resistance level 6; then two interval segments at resistance levels 5 & 4 for 13:30 minutes each; rest of the time at level 4.
      • 20 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace.
  • Weights: Morning kettlebell
    • 60 swings x 5 sets = 300 swings (8kg/17lb). 
  • First day of watching 'Bikini Beach' from 1964, starring Frankie Avalon, Annette Funicello, and Don Rickles.
    • Today's segment included Frankie, Annette, and the cast singing the title song 'Bikini Beach'!

Thursday 12/23/21: 5.91 Miles

My 4-day workout week is over and so is Top Hat! Today's Evening Workout: 5.91 miles on the elliptical in 31:3 minutes; ten-minute warmup at resistance level 9, then 13:35 minutes doing intervals at resistance level 8, and the rest of the time was at resistance level 9. 10 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer ; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace.  Fourth and final day of watching 'Top Hat' from 1935, starring Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, and Edward Everett Horton. Day 4 workout is done and tomorrow will be the finale of G.I. Blues! Today's Workout: 4.67 miles on the elliptical in 23:22 minutes; the first 13:35 minutes were doing intervals at resistance level 8 and the rest of the time was a brisk pace at resistance level 9. 10 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer ; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace.  Fourth day of watching 'G.I.
