A new year has begun and, to honor Elvis Presley's 87th birthday on January 8, I'm starting 2022 with an Elvis movie!

1/3/22 Monday Evening Workout

  • 5.99 miles on the elliptical in 30:05 minutes.
    • One-minute warmup at resistance level 9, then two interval segments at resistance level 8 for 13:30 minutes each, and the rest of the time was at resistance level 9.
      • 20 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace. 
  • Today's movie segment included the opening credit song 'What a Wonderful Life' and also 'I'm Not the Marrying Kind'!

1/4/22 Tuesday Evening Workout

  • 5.76 miles on the elliptical in 29:43 minutes.
    • Twelve-minute warmup at resistance level 9, then one interval segment at resistance level 8 for 13:30 minutes, and the rest of the time was at resistance level 9.
      • 10 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace. 
  • Today's movie segment included the songs 'Sound Advice' and 'Follow that Dream'!

1/5/22 Wednesday Evening Workout

  • 6.08 miles on the elliptical in 30:05 minutes.
    • One-minute warmup at resistance level 9, then two interval segments at resistance level 8 for 13:30 minutes each, and the rest of the time was at resistance level 9.
      • 20 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace. 
  • Today's movie segment included no music but lots of silly misunderstandings!

1/6/22 Thursday Evening Workout

  • 4.89 miles on the elliptical in 24:45 minutes (temporary power outage movie delay).
    • Four-minute warmup at resistance level 9, then one interval segment at resistance level 8 for 13:30 minutes, and the rest of the time was at resistance level 9.
      • 10 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace. 
  • Today's movie segment included the final song 'Angel'!

My workout week is done and so is the third love story movie this month -- Kiss Me Kate ! Today's Morning Workout: 8.13 miles on the elliptical in 37:55 minutes. 5-minute warmup at resistance level 8; two interval segments at resistance level 7 & 6, for 13:30 minutes each, and the rest of the time was at resistance level 6. 20 intervals using the Gym Boss Interval Timer ; 20 seconds high intensity/fast, followed by 1 minute at a cool-down/slower pace.  Third and final day of watching ' Kiss Me Kate ' from 1953, starring Kathryn Grayson, Howard Keel, and Ann Miller.
